At the Christ the King Church (1082 Amelia Church Rd Clayton, NC 27520) on April 25, 2025 from 9 am - 2 pm take home free over the counter vitamins and medications. This event is open to everyone, though you must be 18 and older to receive and medicines! There is no appointment or registration required, no income eligibility, and no I.D. required. This program is possible through  NC MedAssist in partnership with Alliance Health.

En la Iglesia de Cristo Rey (1082 Amelia Church Rd Clayton, NC 27520), el 25 de abril de 2025, de 9:00 a. m. a 2:00 p. m., podrá llevarse a casa vitaminas y medicamentos de venta libre gratuitos. Este evento está abierto a todos, aunque debe ser mayor de 18 años para recibirlos. No se requiere cita previa ni registro, ni requisitos de ingresos, ni identificación. Este programa es posible a través de NC MedAssist en colaboración con Alliance Health.

 

   

On May 1st, 2025 at the Johnston County Health Department (517 N. Brightleaf Blvd Smithfield,  NC 27577) there will be free car seat checks and a Breastfeeding support class. The free car seat checks will be performed by a certified car seat tech from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Then from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm a JCPHD Registered Nurse will be holding a free breastfeeding deep dive for anyone interested in breastfeeding encouragement!

There will also be Childbirth classes held at the Johnston County Health Department on the following days: 5/6/2025 4 pm - 6 pm; 5/8/2025 4 pm - 6 pm; 5/13/2025 4 pm - 6 pm; 5/15/2025  4 pm - 6 pm. Please note, these childbirth classes are not free. If you have Medicaid you will need a referral from your doctor. If you are non-Medicaid you will pay per class on a sliding scale based on income and family size. For more information, please contact Kimetha Fulwood at 919-989-5200.

 

Coates Hearing Clinic will be performing free hearing screenings on 5/14/2025 10 am - 1 pm. They are located at 1652 E. Booker Dairy Road. If interested, please see the front desk at the Primary Care Clinic (Johnston County Health Department) to sign up!
