The North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences will have an educator out on August 14th, 2025 from 11 - 12 pm at the First Baptist Church (202 S. 4th Street, Smithfield, NC 27577) and then from 2 - 3 pm at the Sarah Yard Center (909 E. Lee Street, Smithfield, NC 27577). They will have various animals and natural objects out to present. This event will be free for children ages 10 and under. There are limited spots and registration is required! You can scan the QR code attached to the flyer or visit bit.ly/Animals25. The 8th annual back to school give away will be held August 9th at the Smith-Collins Park (900 E. Lee Street, Smithfield NC, 27577) from 12 pm - 3 pm.
There will be free food, free bookbags, and free school supplies. There will be face painting, bounce houses, and free hair cuts!
